The Jedi code

black and white jedi selfie  As may of you know I`m a follower of the Force.  I try to use the lessons and quotes from the Star Wars universe to help me in everyday life.  Jedism has many roots in Buddhism and if you read into a lot of the Jedi mysticism you can usually find something that will solve any problems that you come up against.

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

There is no death, there is the Force.

There is no emotion, there is peace

Emotions are a part of us.  Even powerful Jedi were not immune to showing their feelings.  Young Jedi leaners are taught to explore their feelings and understand them.  If a Jedi cannot confront their feelings that Jedi will never know peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge

A Jedi should try to understand the world around them.  ignorance is a part of life but should never be feared.  The Jedi archives contains one of the biggest collections of knowledge in the Star Wars universe.  A Jedi must use not only their rational mind but also their intuitive mind to ascertain the truth of a situation.

There is no passion, there is serenity

Be for a Jedi acts he must be one with the Force.  A Jedi must only draw their weapon in defence only.  A Jedi must be calm and clear-headed in all situations.  Passionate use of power will lead to that Jedi to head down the path to the dark side.

There is no death, there is the Force

The sense of loss is often greater for a Jedi.  However death in not a tragedy but a part of life.  The Force in us continues even in death.

Jedi quotes

“Do or do not… there is no try.”Yoda

“Luminous beings are we. Not this crude matter.” — Yoda

“Your eyes can deceive you, don’t trust them.”Obi-Wan Kenobi

“You will find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.” — Obi-Wan Kenobi

“Remember, concentrate on the moment. Feel, don’t think. Trust your instincts.” Qui Gon Jinn

“Be mindful of your feelings.” Mace Windu

” His heart was in the right place, but he tried to answer Grievouses power with his own.”Kit Fisto

The crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi. The Jedi is the crystal of the force. The force is the blade of the heart. All are intertwined.”Luminara Unduli

My top five favourite Star Wars characters…. Whats yours? Number 4 is Boba Fett…..

libraryjedi  Number four in my list of favourite star wars characters is that might mandalorian Boba Fett!!!!  We first officially saw Boba Fett in Star Wars episode  V Empire Strikes Back but he did make an appearance in Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope (the revamped one in the star wars trilogy box set)  In Empire Strikes back we meet Boba Fett and a band of bounty hunters on the bridge of the Executor and Darth Vader delivers that line…….

Darth Vader – There will be a substantial reward for the one who finds the Millennium Falcon. You are free to use any methods necessary, but I want them alive. No disintegrations.

Boba Fett – As you wish.

After that small cameo Boba Fett became a firm favourite with Star Wars fans!!!  With his Mandalorian armour and his ship Slave I he looked the ultimate bad ass!!!!!  Under that no nonsense get the job done no job is to small attitude Boba did have a soft side when it came to his father Jango who he sorely missed.  My favourite part of Boba’s life is when he becomes Mand’alor of a planet he really knows nothing about.  He cant speak the language and dose not really know anything about the Mandalore way of life but that dose not stop him being a great mandalore!  There are rumours that Star Wars episode VII will feature mandolorians so hears hoping Boba will be making an appearance once again!!!!!!  Also there is talk on a Star Wars standalone film about Boba Fett which I really hope they do make!!!!

Boba’s story starts on the planet Kamino.  The one unaltered clone of his father (part of Jango’s payment for being the template for the republics clone army)  Boba had a happy upbringing with his father who taught him the ways of being a bounty hunter until Jango was beheaded by Mace Windu on Geonosis.  Boba started his career as a bounty hunter not long after the death of his father and over the years became the best in the business.  At the age of 16 he married Sintas and they had a baby girl called Ailyn.   The marriage did not last long and they parted ways only to meet again much much later.( read Star Wars legacy of the force)  Boba had many run ins with Han Solo and he also faced off against Darth Vader (and lived!!!!!)  When he did eventually get Solo and delivered him to Jabba the Hutt Boba was thought to have been killed when during the execution of Luke Skywalker to the sarlacc a blind Han Solo accidentally damages Boba rocket pack sending him into the mouth of the sarlacc.  Was this the end of the mighty Boba Fett?  Nope he managed to fight his way out of the sarlakcc’s stomach and blasted out to safety.  Boba was left scared from the acids in the sarlacc’s stomach but this didn’t stop him from carrying on being the best bounty hunter in the galaxy.  Around the year 23ABY Boba promised the dying Fenn Shysa that he would become the next Mand’alor.  Now not only being the best bounty hunter he was now the leader of the planet Mandalore.  Boba would go on to have a very long and productive life!!!!!
